Images of Laos
A unique photographic tour of Laos, accompanied by professional travel photographer Nathan Horton.
The first thing that strikes one about northern Laos is the dramatic landscapes, but add to that brightly decorated temples, orange-robed monks and countless hill tribes then you really have a dream tour for any travel photographer.
In keeping with the All Points East philosophy, this trip intends to emphasize low profile/low impact travel with genuinely small groups, that focuses on the local people, their culture and traditions as well the landscapes and environment whilst minimizing negative effects and maximizing the positive potential of tourism in off-the-beaten-track regions.
From Thailand’s infamous Golden Triangle region, we'll travel by road and by boat through the mountains and jungles of remote northern Laos to the ancient capital, now World Heritage Site, Luang Prabang Explore the beautiful temples and colonial architecture of what is acknowledged to be the best preserved city in SE Asia before completing the tour in the present day capital of Vientiane.
